Angelina Jolie, born Angelina Jolie Voight (Los Angeles, June 4, 1975) is an award-winning American actress, film director, screenwriter and author. She received two Academy Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards, and was named the highest paid actress in Hollywood by Forbes in 2009, 2011 and 2013. Jolie promotes humanitarian causes, and is known for working with refugees, as Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
